When families are in crisis, they do not always have essential supplies to maintain their households.  Person to Person volunteers adopt our neighbor supply closet each month and provide us with cleaning supplies, bedding, paper products and much more to help families get through critical times.

The holiday season can be particularly difficult for families facing severe financial challenges.  In Person to Person’s holiday Adopt-A-Family program, unanticipated and previously out of reach holiday gifts become a reality, lighting up the faces of hundreds of children and relieving burdens for parents. 

Our unique program is highly individualized, allowing families to request gifts that fulfill the specific needs and interests of children, ensuring both delight and utility of each new, wrapped gift.  To be eligible for the program, neighbors participate in Person to Person’s Independent Living Skills program attending at least five classes and working one on one with an ILS advocate, thereby reducing their financial burden in coming holiday seasons.
