Person to Person is always seeking nonprofit organizations and businesses we can partner with in order to further the success of the families we serve.  We work with staff at these and other organizations on collaborative projects, however, Person to Person’s service model is unique in our community.  Some of our partners include:

The Legal Aid Society of Minneapolis refers families to us who need independent living skills.  We refer families to them when they need legal representation.  This has been an instrumental partnership for our families for more than 13 years.

Third-Way Network, a nonprofit dedicated to providing affordable housing to low-income, at risk families, contracted with Person to Person to develop and teach an eight-week independent living skills curriculum.  The goal of the curriculum, called Circle to Success, is to prepare at-risk families for housing success. They chose us to develop the curriculum based on our 20 year history of serving families in our community.

Partnerships with Bridging; Silver Angel Thrift Store; Ready for Success; and Bundles of Love provide our families with furniture, clothing, and other resources when they are setting up their homes.

St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church provides our families with homelessness prevention funds that are used when neighbors cannot access other financial resources in our community.

St. Catherine’s OS/OT Program provides senior student interns to our Independent Living Skills program to extend the reach of our staff when we work with families.  Students help us provide a comprehensive family intervention and program development.

University of St. Thomas Interprofessional Center for Counseling and Legal Services refers families to our Independent Living Skills program and in turn, we refer families to them for counseling and/or legal services.

Project for Pride in Living’s Train to Work Program prioritizes families referred by Person to Person in order that they can gain access to job training and placement.

Faith organizations, businesses and volunteers make our Warm Hands Warm Hearts coat program and our Adopt-a-Family holiday gift drives possible.  Partners in these programs include:  Thrivent Financial for Lutherans; Elim Baptist Church; First Universalist Church; Mississippi Market Co-op; Lakewind’s Natural Foods Co-op; St. Joan of Arc Church; St. Thomas the Apostle Church; Postal Worker’s Union; Ameriprise Financial; Church of the Assumption; Ambiente; and Deluxe Corporation.
